Ipsety
The core truth and nature of our identity can be objectively represented by the various ‘selves’ we choose to proclaim, whether consciously or not. The images in this exhibit seek to transform these common portraits into that fully realized vision. The collection includes 52 silver gelatin selenium-toned lith prints. These graphic prints are of extraordinary technical quality and printed by Bob Carnie. Manipulating the photographs with the Sabatier effect results in an image that is part negative and part positive. Mackie lines have been fully accentuated to further illuminate each subject's identity. The Ipseity collection is the first solarized digital output to become realized and represents a landmark for the medium. Historical traditions of printing have been fused with Lambda technology for a truly unique result. The collection also includes several duo and tri-toned gum bichromate prints.

Pallas
Brendan Meadows & Bob Carnie approached photographers in the top of their field and brought to the general public, subtle, permanent photographic prints, signed by the artist. These prints over time will form a permanent record of some of our most famous celebrity’s & musicians. Pallas will become an entity to showcase work directly from the hands of these talented colleagues. The weekend long photo exhibition included a lecture with Frank Ockenfels 3 on his past 30 years of incredible imagery, weekend workshops with Brendan Meadows & Matt Barnes and raffle image by Gerry Dieter of John & Yoko - Give Peace a Chance. Courtesy of Joan Atway and The Stephen Bulger Gallery. Pallas is one of the lesser-known Greek pantheon goddesses and the origin of the name for the element Palladium. An obvious choice to describe a celebrity portrait exhibition printed using a permanent printmaking process. Photographers included; Frank Ockenfels 3, Bryce Duffy, Brendan Meadows, Andrew Eccles, Janette Beckman, Bryan Helm, Jenny Lens, Josh Wool, Margret Malandruccolo, Shin Sugino, Barrie Wentzel, Mat Barnes, Rob Dutchin, Peter Sibald, & Nigel Dixon.

Covet
The concept of COVET was to support & cultivate the photographic community in Vancouver, as there is an overwhelming presence of talented creatives working in throughout. Although Vancouver is a close knit coterie, it’s been demonstrated that everyone has their unique disciplines & ideologies, my intent was to unite the differences, creating a photographic exhibit celebrating photographers and their muses & subject matter that inspire them, interpreted through another photographer’s eye. Hence, the term ‘covet’ came to mind as the concept dealt with themes of ones own coveted muses, subject matter & environments , and surrounding them to another form of interpretation.

Drawn To Develop
An annual event that helped tp promote social change through artistic initiatives. Acclaimed
photographers were asked to create original artworks inspired by drawings from street youth around the world. Working directly with Street Kids International, a Canadian non-for-profit based in Toronto, to help provide the drawings that were then allocated out to each artist. An incredible array of professional photographers were assembled to make this idea into a reality. Our first year had drawings come in from Nepal, Kenya, India, Georgia and Russia. (2008-2011). Photographers included; Floria Sigismondi, Andcric Ljubodrag, Graydon Shepard, Shanghoon, Russel Monk, Matt Barnes, Ishi. Regina Garcia, Chris Gordaneer, George Simhoni, Raina Kirn, Derek Shapton, Finn O'Hara, Shin Sugino, Darrin Klimek, Kerry Shaw, Pete Soos, Clay Stang, Robert Goshgarian, Genevieve Caron, Joanne K, Laim Sharp, Toni Hafkenscheid, & Angus Rowe Macphereson. -36 Images
